Silver Jubilee - South West Branch AGM and Haul Out Supper will be held on Saturday 9th October at the Battleborough Grange Hotel near Burnham-on-Sea (just off the M5).  As a memento of our Jubilee year, an engraved whisky tumbler will be presented to each member attending.  The welcome mat will be out from 1730.

Cardiff Rally – 2nd to 4th July - contact Peter Satchel

This will coincide with a promotional event to be held by Cardiff Marina on the 3rd July. Special events will be arranged for MOA members to celebrate the Silver Jubilee and this may include a sail around the Islands of Steep and Flat Holm or, tides allowing, a little further afield, as well as social events and local tours.

 

Rally to the Isles of Scilly with Mylor YC – MOA days 20th to 22nd July - contact Tony Coley

CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER FORECAST

This is in conjunction with the Mylor Yacht Club (MYC), and its programme is for MYC boats to leave the Falmouth sometime after 17th July and to return by the 25th.

 

Plymouth Fireworks Competition and MOA Rally – 10th to 13th August - contact Peter GriffithPlymouth Yacht Haven, and Mayflower Marina Party

Once again this is in conjunction with the MYC. MYC members plan to leave Falmouth for Plymouth on the 9th and arrive for the Fireworks Competition which is held on the 10th and 11th August. The Plymouth MOA Jubilee celebration will be held immediately after the Fireworks Competition on the 12th and 13th of August. We intend to hold some sailing events as well as a 25th Jubilee celebration party, which will be with the generous sponsorship of Pantaenius Insurance, whose MD John McCurdy is an MOA member.

 

Captain’s Rally - St.Peter Port Guernsey 1st to 6th September.

Combined with the MOA Commodore's Rally, open to all MOA members.

The plan is to start to assemble at St. Peter Port on the 1st September and the event will end on the tide of the 6th or 7th. Between these times special events will be arranged, a Gala Dinner is planned to celebrate the Jubilee Year of the Association and, weather permitting, sailing events will also be arranged.
